Do you wish you could be more organized?

Do you wish you could be more organized? I often asked myself, “where will I begin?” Or “when will I find the time?”
If you have asked yourself these questions then my four tips might help you. Keep Reading!
So you’ve decided to get organized, but you just don’t know where to begin.

1. Claim Your Clutter
First you need to be aware that you have clutter. Once you have acknowledged this fact for your life then you can
begin to work on how to fix it. Even if the entire house is a mess just admit that you have a problem and are
willing to take baby steps to work on clearing it is a big self motivator. This in turn will help you get organized and save
you time, space, money and energy to benefit the entire family!

Getting Organized in Any Season!

TIP: take out a notebook and write down the following place common clutter occurs:
1. Relationship Clutter
2. Finances
3. Possessions
4. Schedule
5. Emotions

Fact: These are your physical, mental and emotional issues that help clutter accumulate that you can gain control over.

2. Put like items together in One Spot

Isn’t it true that most individuals, myself included do not have a place for things? I just recently found a great idea on the internet for battery storage.

I bought a see through container from Home Depot that usually is bought for nails
and odds and ends for screws, mollies and such. Well, now I have one for batteries and they are all in one place!

You can use the following ideas when looking at your storage:

– store items nearest where they are used

– keep like items grouped together

– make often-used items more accessible

3) Develop a routine

It is well worth your time if you focus on one task at a time or one cluttered space at a time, don’t you agree? I know I
can multi-task but when it comes to clutter it is best to just pick one area from start to finish.
4) Renew Your Systems
Every few months, you should ask yourself these simple questions about your daily routine tasks:

– Does this job even need to be done? (don’t let “busy work” fill your day)
– Does this job need to be done by me? (learn to delegate!)
– Is this the most efficient way to do this job? (is there a quicker, easier way to do this?)

All it takes is a few simple steps to get any area of your life un-cluttered!

Jackie, the idea for battery storage is a neat one! We have batteries all over the place here. Will get a see through nail box on my next trip to Home Depot.
