Asking WHY to accomplish your Writing

Today I want to tell you that if you want to accomplish

anything, the key is to ask WHY.

Why…. do you want____________________________________________?
Why, I, Jackie Paulson wants to write is because_________________________________.
Asking yourself WHY will end:
  1. Writing blocks
  2. Stagnation
  3. Unhappiness
  4. Procrastination
In order to create your blog, your articles your books, etc Just ask WHY you want it!
For example, when someone asks me “how” I earned my paralegal degree I can go on and on because it is something
I R E A L L Y  wanted to accomplish and I was determined to get my Associates in Paralegal.  Mind you, I raised my child before I did this.
I wrote down in my notebook in 2007 ” I, Jackie Paulson will earn  my Paralegal degree in 2009 with all A’s.  I did just that!”
The reason why and the emotional pressure of the way is what got me through this.   Let me explain, I just quit a job I had for 12 years in one location.  I finally found a boyfriend to support me as I earned my degree and raised my child.  With his support I earned my degree.  I was sick and tired of my old career which made going to college easier to do.  I had many challenges; I lost my internet several times and had to go to the library, I had to move 2x, and deal with my child. With all of the struggles and challenges that I had, I still kept my goal and did earn my paralegal degree in May of 2009.
I even hung up a sign I wrote: “GET PARALEGAL DEGREE IN 2009.”  It was hung above my computer to keep me focused.
In conclusion just ask yourself two questons:

1.  Why is _______________so important to me?

2.  Why must I have it?

  4. I so agree with that. When you lose the “Why”, you lose the motivation

  5. Jimmy says:

I go by the motivational saying, “If your why is big enough, the how is easy.” Asking why is the fundamental way to success.

  6. The Hook says:

This blog, I think above all others, actually HELPS bloggers achieve something of value with their work.
    God bless you, young lady!

  7. This post is a must read for any Blogger out there. The prized question WHY is the key that will open new doors for any of us. Brilliant idea. Thank you.

  8. I have come to know you more with this post. Despite the odds, you pursued your goal with a heart of a warrior. I’m happy for you that you found a boyfriend to love and support you. You have a daughter to motivate you to pursue more. As to loving ourselves, it takes a while. I too had issues with my body growing. I was often sick and didn’t have the chance to do what other kids normally do. Thus as I get older, I had to battle my shyness, and build confidence from scratch.when I went to college , I made a lot of friends who accepted me for who I am…in the end I came out a better person. Now that I’m way older, I have new sets of battles, more why’s to answer. I try to find the answers one day at a time. My friend, you’re not alone, a lot of us are also trying to 100 percent love ourselves with all our physical , mental, psychological flaws. But I’m grateful still because I have a family and friends who help me find my life’s questions. As I said in the past, I’ll always be your blogger friend. God bless you and your family always.

    • I want to thank you for your comment today, it made my day. I am going to struggle but in the end will be a blessing. I always try to stay positive despite my feelings, especially online. You mean the world to me. I admire all of your followers too! Keep up the great posts on your blog. Very inspirational, daily.

  9. Great idea, Jackie. Sometimes asking why can change your direction or inspire you even more. When I ask myself why I left 30+ years of corporate life to write, one work comes to mind – freedom.

  10. A wonderful post Jackie thanks for the inspiration!

  11. LeRoy Dean says:

    Food for thought…thanks.
